Motorola DEFY+ Announced for Asia, Europe and Latin America

The DEFY+ has gone from RUMORED to official this morning as Motorola Mobility has unveiled the near-rugged phone for Asian, European, and Latin American markets.  Powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the DEFY+ features a 1GHz processor, 3.7-inch display, 5-megapixel camera, and 2GB storage (microSD).  Protected by scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass and able to withstand water and dust, this is the perfect phone for abusive or carefree types.   Specific carriers and pricing for the DEFY+ has not been determined however we expect to  learn more as we creep up on the early fall release.  Although the press release does not mention the U.S. as one of the countries on the roadmap, rumors have it that  later in the year.
